Earmolds
Earmolds are used with behind-the-ear (BTE) and Body-worn hearing aids. For BTE, tubing runs from the aid to the earmold, which fits into your ear canal. Sound travels through the tubing from the BTE into your ear. For Body-worn aids, the earpiece (receiver) is directly attached to the earmold.
There are a variety of different types of earmolds from which you can choose. Some choices may be based on personal preferences, while others should be dictated by your hearing needs.
